Chudgar developed design for temporary and permanent shoring for support of excavation. Soldier piles with tiebacks are used for retained heights over 12 feet, with three levels of tiebacks to achieve 50 feet of excavation depth. Construction excavator and concrete pump truck loading adjacent to excavation resulted in significant surcharge loads that required heavy pile sections.
